Patient story: Kate’s illuminating experience of JetPeel

The JetPeel facial has been something of a revelation for Kate, a regular patient at our Huntingdon clinic.

Kate wanted to address several issues with her skin, which was looking and feeling lacklustre. She put her trust in our Aesthetic Rejuvenation and Laser Specialist, Emma Preston, to recommend a gentle approach that would improve the condition of her skin.

Emma was excited to introduce Kate to one of our newest treatments, the JetPeel facial. We chatted to Kate about her JetPeel experience, here we share her views.

This innovative facial uses pressurised air, delivered at high speed, to apply fine liquid jets to the skin with a specialised wand.

The action of the jet streams gives a comforting lymphatic massage, followed by exfoliation of the skin to improve its texture.

As the skin is gently stretched by the jet streams, microchannels open in the epidermis. This allows infusion of replenishing serums to hydrate and nourish the skin.

Introducing Kate

What aesthetic treatments have you had before?

I have had a bespoke facial, microneedling and laser treatments, all at Melior Clinics.

Why did you choose the JetPeel facial?

Honestly, when it comes to what works for my skin and what I need most, I trust Emma’s judgement. She was excited about this new facial, so I was too.

What did you hope JetPeel would achieve?

I was really struggling with hormonal acne, which has caused scarring and discoloration. I felt that my skin was looking dull, and the texture was just ‘bleh’!

I wanted to address all these aspects if possible. A more youthful skin appearance is always welcome as well!

How did Emma prepare you for the treatment?

Emma told me how the treatment would work with the pressurised air delivering the jet streams to my skin.

She explained how it would feel as the wand moved over my skin, and that the jet stream would stretch my skin to enable exfoliation and the serums to be absorbed.

Emma also explained how my skin might react after the JetPeel, because the treatment encourages the skin to get rid of impurities.

What did the treatment feel like?

It was an interesting sensation. It was not a conventionally relaxing facial. I could feel the pressure of the jet streams at times, but it was not at all painful.

I was certainly looking forward to the benefits!

Could you see any immediate changes following the treatment?

I felt there was an immediate glow to my skin and it looked refreshed.

Kate’s skin looks brighter, fresher and illuminated following her JetPeel treatment.

Did you see any improvement in your skin in the days following treatment?

As Emma had explained may happen, I broke out a bit in the first couple days after the treatment.

I was glad that Emma warned me how the skin purges the ‘bad stuff’, so I was prepared.

The break out only lasted a few days. Then at two weeks following the treatment, my skin started to look better than it has in a LONG time!

Texture, acne, dullness, fine lines – all visibly improved.

Would you have JetPeel treatment again?

I’ve already booked my next one!

Would you recommend JetPeel to family and friends?

Yes, absolutely.
